  1. ASSESS where you are currently at with your dancing
    • Non-judgement but critical analysis of:
      • a range of video content
      • yourself in the mirror
    • Professional feedback given through:

  2. STRATEGISE as each specific goals requires a different approach
    • Picking the strategy based on the improvement goals
    • Some suggestions: Private classes, Technique workshops and bootcamps, Group classes, Social dancing, YouTube and online tutorials, Festivals, private self-practice
    • How you can supplement your dancing: Working on mobility, flexibility, strength, co-ordination, connection
  3. EXECUTE through a committed repetitive practice
    • It’s important to get small specific movements into your muscle memory through repetition over months
    • Take comparison out of the equation. Understand people have unfair advantages and give yourself grace
    • Have something to work towards like a competition or performance
